Download ChatKeeper
Latest release: 2026.03.001
March 1, 2026
By downloading ChatKeeper, you are agreeing to its Terms of Service and EULA. It’s a quick read and (I believe) a reasonable policy, but it’s important that we start on the same page.
You can try ChatKeeper for free without providing your name, email, credit card, or anything else. If you don’t have a license, there will be some limitations as described here.
Already have ChatKeeper and just want your "Forever License"?
I’m pleased to announce the first official desktop GUI release of ChatKeeper.
This release marks a major milestone. ChatKeeper’s new GUI is installed alongside the same Command Line Interface (CLI) that you’re familiar with. The GUI can can do everything the CLI can do, and the CLI remains included and fully supported.
To launch the GUI, just click on the desktop or menu shortcut, or invoke chatkeeper with no arguments.
Version Numbering Update: This is also the first production release with a new version numbering scheme.
Version numbers now begin with the year and month in which the release was created. The third number resets each month and increments for every build (including internal test builds).
Adventure Builds use this same numbering format, with an -adventure suffix.
Fixed and Added in This Release:
- Full Desktop GUI using the same proven sync engine as the CLI
- Platform-specific desktop installers for Windows, macOS, and Linux
- Drag-and-drop support for ChatGPT export ZIP files
- Guided syncing workflow with clear, step-by-step options
